Hector grew up in Venezuela and has been involved in soccer all his life. Soccer has always been his passion, after playing from age 8 to 17 with his high school (Santo Tomas de Villanueva). He debuted in the first professional soccer division of Venezuela with the Estrella Roja FC team (Caracas). Hector also played in the second division of Venezuela with Estrella Roja FC, and then went on to play another year in that division with the team Leander de Miranda.

After two years of playing at high level in Venezuela, he decided to complete his accounting degree at Universidad Santa Maria, where he obtained a scholarship and ultimately a degree in public accounting. Before moving to Chicago, Hector worked in the corporate world for 2 years at Ernst & Young in the Advisory Services and Risk Management department.

Since arriving in Chicago in 2014, Hector has played in competitive amateur soccer leagues. He worked for 3 years as manager of adult recreational soccer leagues for Kick It Social, and 2 years as an account manager at the sports marketing agency, Fusion Latina. He has collaborated in several seasons as a soccer coach in Chicago with the Kick It Right youth soccer program. Hector is certified by the US Soccer Federation as an “D” License coach.
